The San Luis Police Department has launched an official webpage and is pleased to establish Facebook and Twitter sites. The police department will utilize its official webpage, Facebook and Twitter sites to share information to the public. These sites will provide more timely information to the public and allow social media users the ability to provide feedback and interact with the San Luis Police Department.
The Facebook and Twitter sites are an important tool to strengthen the relationship between community members and the police department. These sites will also provide the opportunity for the San Luis Police Department to provide general information about the department; to include police incidents, community events and wanted suspects.
These new sites will also provide an opportunity for citizens to help the police department by proving information on suspects, ongoing investigations or report crimes. In addition, information such as new hires, key partnerships, promotions, police department newsletters, press releases, links to other law enforcement agencies, links to request police reports and important information about the police department will be available.
The San Luis Police Department encourages community members to follow us on these new social media sites, interact with other members of the community and interact with your city’s police department!
